PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

100% Fun 100% Interactive

Program Includes: 60 minute sessions- Interactive activities, continuous speaking practice, collaborative activities, ongoing progress assessments, positive peer support, coaching for school assignments, all materials and earned level achievements.

Program Schedule:

  • September 14-December 18 January 11- March 26 April 6-Jun 19

  • Summer schedule: June 21-August 20

  • Please note that the program will close during the season to honor Holidays, Spring Break, Winter Break etc.

  • Intermediate & Advance Class ( based on assessment)

  • Certificate of Achievement

  • Presentation Showcase ( end of each season)

Scheduling Policy

Monthly Subscription Cancellation Policy ( 30 day notice required)

Who should attend:

  • Students wanting to speak confidently in front of friends, classmates, teachers and others .

  • Students desiring continuous support and practice to develop presentation and social skills

  • Students ready to take their communication skills to the next level

Small Group Sessions:

  • Each session is limited to 6 students

Materials Needed: 

  • Computer with Internet access

  • Space rid of any distraction

  • Zoom Connection: with camera & microphone ON

  • Student Contact : Email or Cell Number

  • Notebook/paper, and writing utensil.

Note: Siblings should utilize separate computers and space.

Each participant will learn how to:

  • confidently express their thoughts and ideas ( Verbal & Written)

  • manage anxiety and fear

  • effectively write and deliver varied types of speech

  • collaborate well with others

  • advocate for self and others

  • develop leadership skills

  • understand non-verbal signals from others, body language, facial expressions etc

  • and MORE!

Achievement & Assessments: Parent/ Coach check in meetings .No outside homework. Students participate fully in all aspects of the class. Students will deliver a variety of presentations, demonstrating proficiency in public speaking as measured on a rubric based on the Competent Speaker Speech Performance Evaluation.

ALL SESSIONS ARE VIDEO RECORDED FOR SKILL REINFORCEMENT AND FEEDBACK

Enrollment Limits: All classes have enrollment limits as listed in class descriptions. Public Speaking for Teens (PSFT) reserves the right to cancel classes in the event the minimum number of students for the class is not reached. PSFT may also cancel classes in the event of an emergency such as, illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Any canceled class may be rescheduled, should the Instructor and space be available.
